We give all of our couples a fully researched detailed list of ideas on where to go for your post ceremony celebratory lunch or dinner.  You tell us what type of meal you're looking to enjoy and we will give you a personalized outline of your best options, including information on menus, how to book, details on how far the locations are from the ceremony and more.

Included in your wedding package is a custom bouquet bouquet designed by our amazing florist Jeffrey Alencastre.  You tell us what your favorite florals are and we get you a beautiful bouquet.  If your not really feeling the bouquet you can swap that out for a beautiful custom flower crown (or haku lei). These head leis look stunning in photos!

We hand-pick Hawaiian vines the morning of your wedding and will set them up in the sand creating a beautiful natural aisle for you to walk down. Add Hawaiian flowers to the aisle or rose petals for tossing after you say "I do" for a small added fee. Tossing rose petals are a fun way to celebrate look great in photos!

The Hawaiian lei ceremony is a fun and beautiful island tradition that we help you incorporate into your vow renewal ceremony. The exchange of leis represents the two of you re-choosing each other as partners. Got kids? It can be really touching to read special vows to your children and then present them with a lei as well.  Some of our sweetest vow renewal ceremonies have included special readings from the parents to their children, sealed with a special lei (or unique gift - like a locket).  We will help you with ideas to customize your ceremony to make it special.

There a few officiants on island who do the most beautiful and unique vow renewal ceremonies.  We have built connections to all of them. We’ll hand-pick an officiant that we feel is the best fit for you.  Your officiant will guide you through a very special ceremony taking you back to how your love started and what you have built and grown together over the years. If you have children, your officiant has unique ways of including them in this ceremony as well.  You will get to know and speak to your officiant ahead of time to discuss the details and on your special day you'll just follow their lead.

We have partnered with some of the best photographers on the island. Get ready to have the most beautiful Christmas photos.  Photos you'll cherish forever and hang on your walls.  Our photographer will guide you with poses, make you feel comfortable in front of the camera and make sure the essence of your love is captured on film. One hour of professional photography is included and final photos are edited and provided digitally. If you'd like more time, you can add on additional time with our photographer at a special discounted rate.

This package is set up to be held at a public beach but we know that not all public beaches are worthy of a special ceremony like this.  We've sought out the best possible options and will help you to choose a beach that is perfectly suited to you.  We also help you to figure out the ceremony timing and take care of the beach permits.  We carry a million dollar insurance policy which allows us to purchase all permits legally.

We help organize and set up everything for you and then on your special day we are there to  coordinate and manage everything.  No stress, pressure or overwhelm - just a really cool way to celebrate a decade or more of your love.  Trust me, you deserve this!

We will help you to design a custom playlist with all your favorite songs. Many of our couples will re-do their First Dance song or choose songs that they've grown to love together through the years.  Music has a special ability to take you back to special moments, celebrating years of love together.  We download and play all the music off our speaker. Prefer to have a live ukulele player? We can set that up too.

Once you book with Best Day Ever you'll get invited to a password protected "Insider Guide" website that will go over every possible question you may have about your wedding.  There will be a guideline on how the planning process works, questionnaires to help us execute your vision, details on floral and decor options, info. on your marriage license, tips on the best O'ahu hikes, places to eat, and much much more. Your planner will also be there to guide you through every step of planning but this is just there as an added bonus!

what should we wear?

1. Surprise Vow Renewals.  
We've had a handful of guys surprise their wives with for their 10th Anniversary.  She thinks he's spoiling her with a family photoshoot and has no idea that the real surprise is an intimate vow renewal.  We set up hair and makeup, get her flowers, set up dinner, all he has to do is hire us, we handle the rest.  She feels more loved, seen and cared for than she ever has - there is nothing cheesy about that!

2. Custom Playlists.  We work with you to design a playlist that brings back all the feels.  The walk down the aisle, your first dance, "your song".  Music has a profound way of reconnecting couples in the best way.

3. Vows to Children. If you have children, including them in this ceremony can be so special.  We encourage our couples not only to exchange vows to each other, but also to read vows to their children.  Call each child individually to give them a moment and let them know the role they play in the family, sharing with them out loud how special they are - will mean so much to your little one.  We help our couples with this and give you lots of ideas. 



how do we make it feel special and not cheesy? 

You could organize it yourself but it wouldn't be easy.  There are so many details to consider that you wouldn't even know to think about.  Beach permits, officiants that are able to do these specific ceremonies in a heartfelt way,  photography, music, etc.  If you want the day to feel special without having to stress or worry about any of the details, you need a professional planner to organize it.  

We understand the value in the little things.  Your wedding song playing as you arrive, bringing you back to that day and that feeling a decade ago.  Everything set up for you in a way that makes you feel incredibly special and connected to your partner.  Being guided by an officiant who takes you back you back to the moments you fell in love, that first look, first date, first kiss.  Incorporating your children in a way that celebrates their part in your special union. We understand the little things that need to take place to bring the feeling of connection, love and intimacy back and we orchestrate the day around these moments to design a Vow Renewal experience you'll never forget.

It's just a simple ceremony, can't I organize it myself? 

A lot actually.  We help you find the perfect beach and secure the beach permit.  We set you up with an officiant to guide the ceremony, one who is incredibly good at re-creating that magic you felt on your wedding day.  We set up hair and makeup for you.  We set up photography for you, someone to capture all the special moments and get a stunning photoshoot of the family at sunset afterwards.  We setup, organize, execute all the little things that make the day feel insanely special (and easy!) flowers, the timing, the music, transportation, parking details, and more!

what does a vow renewal planner actually do? 

You can book up to a year in advance but the ideal time to book is 3-6 months before your anniversary day.  We have also done last minute vow renewals with just a weeks notice.

We have a few select beaches for Vow Renewals handpicked for a few specific reasons.  They are intimate feeling (not crowded, more isolated and private), they are photogenic and beautiful, they are close to parking (easy to get there in heels) and lastly, but perhaps most importantly - they all have an incredibly special energy.  You'll see what we mean when you get there.  You will be provided the exact beach location with directions, photos, and a detailed description of the spot after booking.  The exact Vow Renewal beach is chosen also based around your hotel location and your preference for a morning, afternoon or sunset ceremony.
