After having done hundreds of weddings, we have built connections to the islands best officiants. We’ll hand-pick a wedding officiant that is the best fit for you as a couple. We ask you several questions to determine who you'd be the best fit for and then will connect you directly with your officiant. We have partnered with religious pastors, non denominational officiants, and also offer Hawaii-inspired ceremonies with Hawaiian blessings and a conch blow. You tell us your vision and we customize your ceremony and match you up with the perfect officiant or minister.

LICENSED WEDDING OFFICIANT

We have partnered with some of the best photographers on the island. Our photographer will guide you with poses, make you feel comfortable and beautiful in front of the camera and make sure every moment of your wedding is captured. One hour of professional photography will cover your wedding ceremony plus family and couple beach photos afterwards. Final photos are edited and provided digitally. If you'd like more time, you can add on additional time with our photographer at a special discounted rate.

Large gated private parking lot on-site, private restroom for guests and and 11-acres of manicured lush gardens set-up perfectly for a beautiful Hawaii wedding. Access to a private beach cove perfect for toes in the sand beach photos after the ceremony. You get 2 hours at the venue, we handle all the set up and clean up.

You tell us what type of food and dining experience you envision and we research options for you. Lunch or Sunset Weddings may opt to do the Luau which is within walking distance of the wedding ceremony site. Luau includes dinner, drinks, and live entertainment.

The Hawaiian lei ceremony is a fun and beautiful island tradition that we help you incorporate into your wedding ceremony. The exchange of leis represents the two of you choosing each other as partners for life. We provide you with a Bride & Grooms lei and your officiant will guide you through this special ceremony. You may choose to forego this ceremony if you wish and just wear the leis later in the evening. Two brides or two grooms leis may be substituted.

Hawaiian Lei Ceremony

Add in a custom floral altar, white orchid aisle, chairs for guests, a full rose petal flower shower and more. We have tons of ideas and options to inspire you. We assist with the design, setup and breakdown of all florals. Traditional wooden 2 post, hexagon and triangle altars available. We give you a design questionnaire with lots of photo samples to inspire you, then help you to bring your vision to life. These are added fees and you'll get a custom quote based on your specific design.

This is totally up to you and we have complete freedom. A floral wedding arch and wooden chairs are the most common set up but if you have something specific in mind let us know and we can help you to figure out how to make it happen. We assist with all coordination and set up of wedding decor and even get discounted vendor rates on florals and other rental items. The best part - savings are passed directly to you!

what kind of ceremony set up can we do?

Yes absolutely. Strollers and wheelchairs should have no problem at this location. The lawns are well manicured and flat, there are some sidewalk paved areas, and it is close to the parking area. Additionally the ceremony areas are shaded and provide a comfortable area for guests to enjoy.

is the ceremony venue wheelchair accessible?

On the morning of your wedding we check the weather report and radar and watch the rain carefully. If it is pouring all morning (this is really rare), then we'll call you and discuss options with you. 95% of the time even on a very rainy day there are patches of sunshine, especially near the ocean. Usually we wait out the passing showers and will do a ceremony in between showers. This area in particular is located on the West side of the island, it has the nicest weather and least amount of rain. So far we haven't had a wedding get rained out in this location - fingers crossed. We have even had weddings go off without a hitch on hurricane/tsunami days. We do have umbrellas just in-case and will be watching the weather that entire day for you.

How likely is it to rain on my wedding day? What happens if it does rain?

Currently outdoor events have no capacity limits and it's been this way for a while now. I wouldn't expect that to change. If they do add in some type of mandate they may limit the guest count for events indoors but it's likely not to be limited outdoors. It is unlikely that a smaller outdoor wedding will need to be canceled but we will keep you posted if anything changes. Regarding travel - here are the current guidelines. https://hawaiicovid19.com/travel/getting-to-hawaii/ Basically proof of vaccination or a neg Covid test done within 48hrs is required. The same rules apply for eating out in restaurants.

worst case scenario’s what would happen if we’re not able to travel to Hawaii due to Covid?

This package was designed to include all the basics needed for a beautiful Hawaii wedding. On occasion some couples may choose to bring their own officiant or photographer. Although we highly recommend using our vendors we understand that some couples may have another vision. We are happy to discount the package on a case by case basis if you wish to forego the use of our officiant or photographer. There are no discounts for any other items. If you choose to forego the lei exchange ceremony you can swap these leis out for parent leis or keep them to wear after the ceremony.

Can we take some of the package items out, we don't need everything?

We really think you'll be quite pleased with our photographers but if you're sure that you would like to bring in another photographer then we can credit you $200. Our main concern is that you are happy with how your wedding day turns out.

We want to use our own photographer, is that ok?

With the simpler smaller weddings like these, we generally do not do a rehearsal. On the day of the wedding I will be there to put everyone in place and line you up, cue the music and guide you through everything. It will feel very natural and seamless.

Do we need to have a Rehearsal?

Of course! Start a Pinterest board and start saving photos of bouquets you like, we will be asking you about flowers as we get further into planning. The cost of bouquets, aisle decor, leis, etc. are not included but we work with a wonderful florist who gives us amazing pricing and does beautiful work. I will pick up the flowers for you that day and bring all the flowers to you on the day of the wedding. If you aren’t sure on colors or types of bouquets we have samples from which you can choose your favorites.

Do I get to pick the flowers and colors?

Each wedding ceremony has a 2-hour time slot.

how much time do we have at lanikuhonua?

Yes, most definitely! You just need to make sure that your friend is ordained and that he or she is registered with the State of Hawaii to do the wedding. This must be done a few weeks prior to your wedding.

My friend is going to officiate, is that ok?

Lanikuhonua is located in the Ko'olina area on O'ahu, Hawaii. The exact address is - 92-1101 Ali'inui Dr, Kapolei, HI 96707. It is on the West side of the island which is the sunniest side of the island so there is very little chance of rain. A timeline, and directions to the site will be provided to you before the wedding day with customized notes and details. A large private locked parking lot is available for use with the venue.
