Included in your wedding package is a custom bridal bouquet designed by our amazing florist Jeffrey Alencastre. Jeff is an incredible florist who does all of our florals and he can design just about any thing. You tell us what you want and we place the order and pick up the florals on your wedding day for you. You won't just get a "Preferred Vendor List" and have to do all the leg work on your own, instead you'll get an experienced Hawaii wedding planner assigned to your wedding. She'll be available to you 24/7 and will guide you from the start of planning until the finish. We help you book everything and only recommend the best vendors on island (hair and makeup, musicians, etc). On your actual wedding day, there is always a Best Day Ever planner on site (usually this is owner, Nicole) to coordinate and manage everything. You'll get a timeline and map ahead of time and we'll be in touch consistently to give you details on exactly what to do. On your wedding day, your only job is to show up and enjoy every second of this momentous, very special day!

There are so many ways to customize a wedding ceremony at the garden and we have lots of ideas and options for you to browse through. Unfortunately there are no chairs or arches allowed but we have found ways to work around this. From babies breath altar circles to white orchid floral aisles, tropical bouquets and floral haku leis (bridal head crowns). We give you ideas, you tell us what you love. On your wedding day we bring all florals to you and set everything up.
Floral Decor & CUSTOMIZATION
The Hawaiian lei ceremony is a fun and beautiful island tradition that we help you incorporate into your wedding ceremony. The exchange of leis represents the two of you choosing each other as partners for life. We provide you with a Bride & Grooms lei and your officiant will guide you through this special ceremony. You may choose to forego this ceremony if you wish and just wear the leis later in the evening. Two brides or two grooms leis may be substituted.
HAWAIIAN LEI CEREMONY
After having done hundreds of weddings, we have built connections to the islands best officiants. We’ll hand-pick a wedding officiant that is the best fit for you as a couple. We ask you several questions to determine who you'd be the best fit for and then will connect you directly with your officiant. We have partnered with religious pastors, non denominational officiants, and also offer Hawaii-inspired ceremonies with Hawaiian blessings and a conch blow. You tell us your vision and we customize your ceremony and match you up with the perfect officiant or minister.
LICENSED WEDDING OFFICIANT
We'll set you up with an award-winning photographer to capture your wedding day. He or she will guide you with poses, make you feel comfortable and beautiful in front of the camera and make sure that no moment is forgotten. One hour of professional photography will cover your wedding ceremony plus family and couple photos afterwards. Final photos are edited and provided digitally. All photos on our website were taken with our incredible exclusive photography team. Many couples will choose to add on extra time with our photographer to do a couples beach photo shoot at Lanikai Beach nearby. Cost for this will vary but you do get a special discounted rate (about+ $350-$600/hr). This is worth considering, Lanikai Beach is gorgeous!

The ideal ceremony time at this location is an early morning wedding ceremony. We've found it best to do the wedding ceremony right when the gardens open to have the most privacy and to get the best lighting over the mountain ranges for photos. Later time slots are available but the early wedding ceremony times are encouraged.

Unfortunately the rule is no floral arches and no chairs allowed in the botanical garden. Because the ceremony is usually 20 minutes or so, we have found that guests are comfortable standing for this length of time. Also, since the rule is nothing can be staked into the ground (no arches or tents, etc.) we have found other unique ways to bring floral backdrops into the ceremony. When you book with us we go over floral ideas and options and send you sample photo ideas so that you can decide how you'd like to customize your ceremony.
ARE WEDDING ARCHES ALLOWED IN THE GARDEn? Can we set up chairs for our guests?
Yes and no. It depends on the location you choose in the gardens. We will narrow down the top spots for you and you choose the ceremony location that you like best. Some of these locations are more of a trek and not wheelchair accessible, others are close to the parking area and could be accessed by wheelchair. If someone is in a wheelchair or if guests need to bring baby strollers to the ceremony, let us know ahead of time and we can provide you with the best location options.
are the gardens wheelchair accessible?
We monitor the gardens frequently and will check in on your ceremony spot the week prior if it's been raining just to make sure it doesn't get too muddy and to provide alternative options if it is. You'll never know if it will rain on your wedding day but there is a chance that it could since we are closer to the mountains. If it does rain then we discuss options with you and provide you with back-up plans. 95% of the time even on a very rainy day there are patches of sunshine, and we will wait out the passing showers to do the wedding ceremony. The skies usually clear beautifully and photos are magical right after a little shower. In Hawaii we consider rain showers to be extra blessings so don't be afraid of rain, We have even had weddings go off without a hitch on hurricane/tsunami days.
what if it rains on my wedding day?
We love the idea of having music to set the ambiance for our ceremonies, however, the Botanical Garden does not allow amplified music (even if it's played off a small speaker just for the ceremony). They do however allow acoustic musicians. You can add in a ukulele or guitar player for an additional fee and we can set all of this up for you. We have partnered with some amazing musicians and they are comfortable playing most common wedding songs. If there is a song you'd like that they do not know, most of our musicians will learn custom music for an added fee. Contact us to learn more!
CAn we play amplified music?
This all inclusive Hawaii wedding package was designed to include all the basics needed for a beautiful Hawaii wedding. On occasion some couples may choose to bring their own officiant or photographer. Although we highly recommend using our vendors we understand that some couples may have another vision. We are happy to discount the package on a case by case basis if you wish to forego the use of our officiant or photographer. There are no discounts for any other items. If you choose to forego the lei exchange ceremony you can swap these leis out for parent leis or keep them to wear after the ceremony.
Can we take some of the package items out, we don't need everything?

We send you directions from your hotel and a detailed map of the gardens so you know exactly where to go and how to get to the parking lot area closest to your ceremony location. Once you arrive at the parking lot you call us and we meet you at your car and will walk you in.
we have never been to hawaii, how do we know where to go?
No, the sun sets on the other side of the island, so you wouldn't see the sunset from this location. Morning weddings are recommended because they are less hot and have the prettiest light for the best photos.
can we do a sunset wedding at the gardens?
The Botanical Garden is ideal for 25 or less guests or less. If you have more than 25 guests a private venue like our Lanikuhonua Wedding Package would be ideal.
