This is a big one! You will be assigned a personal wedding planner available to you 24/7 by email. She will assist you with booking everything including - hair and makeup, videography, florals, a live musician and transportation and more. We hand-pick Hawaiian vines the morning of your wedding and will set them up in the sand creating a beautiful aisle that you will walk down. You can also add in chairs for all your guests. Tossing rose petals are also included for after you say “I do”. At this location we can also do a custom wedding floral arch which looks amazing in photos. This costs a little extra but is definitely worth considering.

The Hawaiian lei ceremony is a fun and beautiful island tradition that we will help you incorporate into your wedding ceremony. The exchange of leis represents the two of you choosing each other as lovers and companions for life. We provide you with these beautiful traditional Maile & Pikake Leis and your officiant will guide you through this special ceremony. You may choose to forego this ceremony if you wish and just wear the leis later in the evening.

Take your guests on a private catamaran boat ride across a Hawaiian fish pond to Secret Island. It's a really fun experience and something your guests will be talking about for years to come. The captain will make several trips across the sea to accommodate your party. We usually recommend that the guests go across on the first boat with the groom and bridal party and the bride come across 2nd to make a grand entrance.

Private Beach Island Venue - Package price is inclusive of the site fee paid directly to the venue. This is a private beach venue, meaning we are legally allowed to have chairs, a floral arch and other decor right in the sand (public beaches do not allow this). Since it is private this also means that there won't be other beach-goers sunbathing or watching the wedding nearby. It will feel like you have the beach all to yourself.
We will help you to design a custom playlist with all the right songs played at exactly the right times so that your wedding feels magical. We download and play all the music off our speaker to create a custom ceremony personalized just for you. Prefer live ukulele or a string quartet? We can set that up too.

We send all of our couples detailed directions to the ceremony site from your hotel, have a back-up rain plan and all the extra info. needed to make sure that your wedding day goes as smoothly as possible. There's also a private parking lot just for you and your guests right next to the boat dock and restrooms just incase.

Secret Island is a private beach surrounded by picturesque mountains. To give you an idea of incredible it is, many movie films like Jurassic Park, Along Came Polly, Pearl Harbor, You Me and Dupree, Jumanji and more were all filmed right in this spot - it's really that beautiful.
Guests would take a catamaran (open-air) Hawaiian boat across the sea to Secret Island - a gorgeous white sandy beach surrounded by picturesque mountains and turquoise blue ocean.
There is a private dock, plenty of parking and restrooms on site. The beach is beautiful as is but we can add in chairs and a floral arch and other decor for an added fee.
With this package we help you coordinate everything including hair and makeup, flowers (bouquets, etc.), leis for guests (if needed), photographer, officiant, transportation, videography and more.
Can you describe Secret Island in more detail?
You could bring a wheelchair on the boat but we don’t recommend it. It would also be extremely difficult to push the wheelchair across the sand to the ceremony site. Secret Island is not ideal for guests who require wheelchairs. If you have an important guest who needs a wheelchair, Paradise Cove or Lanikuhonua would be a better pick.
Is Secret Island wheelchair accessible?
On the morning of your wedding we check the weather report and radar and watch the rain carefully. If it is pouring all morning (this is really rare), then we'll call you and discuss options with you. 95% of the time even on a very rainy day there are patches of sunshine, especially near the ocean. Usually we wait out the passing showers and will do a ceremony in between showers. The skies usually clear beautifully and photos are magical. In Hawaii we consider rain showers to be extra blessings so don't be afraid of rain. So far we haven't had a wedding get completely rained out and even rainy days here end up being pretty. We have even had weddings go off without a hitch on hurricane/tsunami days. Please note, at Secret Island there is a covered tarp area which guests can stay if it does rain on the beach. Ceremony could also be held here but we'd prefer to wait out the rain if possible.
How likely is it to rain on my wedding day? What happens if it does rain?
Currently outdoor events (like a Secret Island wedding) have no capacity limits and it's been this way for a while now. I wouldn't expect that to change. If they do add in some type of mandate they may limit the guest count for events indoors but it's likely not to be limited outdoors. Last year when they shut everything down they brought down the guest count to 25 allowed at outdoor weddings which was the strictest restriction we've ever had (so far). It is unlikely that a smaller outdoor wedding will need to be canceled but we will keep you posted if anything changes.
Regarding travel - here are the current guidelines. https://hawaiicovid19.com/travel/getting-to-hawaii/ Basically proof of vaccination or neg Covid test done within 48hrs is required. The same rules apply for eating out in restaurants.
In short, an outdoor wedding like the Secret Island wedding is the least likely to be affected by Covid19. Traveling to Hawaii will however require a vaccination or neg covid test. We will keep you updated on any changes as they occur and if for some reason you need to change the date due to Covid we will assist with everything.
worst case scenario’s what would happen if we’re not able to travel to Hawaii due to Covid?
Yes, it does. We contract out the venue on your behalf and pay all venue and security fees. We will coordinate everything so that we become a one-stop-wedding planning shop for you. This makes the planning process easy and low stress. We are your point of contact for everything and available to you 24/7 by email to assist with everything wedding related.

Since we can only do one wedding a day at Secret Island, you want to secure your date ASAP if you have a specific date in mind. This is our most popular package and dates do get taken quickly. We can also place a 1-week temporary hold on a date so if you have a special date in mind, please check in to reserve it.
how soon in advance should we book?
We will send you a map with directions and details on the exact location after you book. There is parking on-site near the doc for you and your guests. If you decide to add in transportation for yourselves and your guests we will get the transportation company detailed directions before the ceremony.
